Putin, on his globe-trotting anti-isolation tour, made a stop in Egypt to demonstrate solidarity with another faux-democratic regime with a strongman of short stature in the helm. And what is the best way to show one's good will than to present a firearm as a gift. Both as a symbol of a future $1bil. arms deal and as a wink to a common power-grabbing sensibility.
