The Pope protests that the Catholic Church is the "only institution to have been attacked" about child abuse and that statistically the majority of abuses are "carried out in family or neighborhood environments". Yes, if there is one institution more nefarious than the Catholic Church and way better in incubating deprived deviants and sly aggressors is the institution of Neighborhoods. Why do you think Dennis the Menace was set in a neighborhood? Have you ever watched Desperate Housewives? What about the satanic sorcery of Bewitched, the amorality of The Simpsons or the debauchery of Married With Children? (Remarkably all set in neighborhoods.)
