Trump in China: A cartoon in three acts

On his first state visit to China, the Chinese authorities managed to reverse Trump's negative opinion about the country, which he has often raged against for currency manipulation and trade malpractices, by lavishly catering to his vainglorious ego. From the moment he landed to a red carpet welcome in Beijing, he was treated like a rock star with honor guards, parades, flag-waving school-children and crazy amounts of food as well as some of his favorite cartoon characters who fooled around during the sightseeing visits he couldn't skip in order to entertain him. And it worked! Soon he was praising President Xi, clearing China of any blame and giving it credit for looking after its citizens even if that meant taking advantage of another country.
