Assad: It’s my country and I’ll bomb it if I want to
UN peace envoy, Staffan de Mistura, met on Tuesday Syrian president Assad in Damascus to update him on the consultations he has been having in Geneva in order to find a political solution to the 5 year conflict. He also informed him about the new hip restaurants in town. Assad stressed his resolve for peace and need for the international community to be more outspoken about the terrorists’ atrocities. The discussion was conducted in a friendly atmosphere although tempers did rise when the two men clashed about which is the best pâtisserie in the Swiss city.
