Syria & North Korea: Axis of Civil No Rights

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad met with North Korean Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sin Hong Chol in Damascus on March 8th. Syria is one of the few countries that still has a functioning embassy in Pyonyang and North Korea is one of the even fewer countries that have diplomats to spare to send to a war zone like Syria. Assad explained that both countries are "being targeted because they are among those few countries which enjoy real independence". Independence to starve, torture and kill their own citizens that is. The two delegation had some productive talks in several fields of possible cooperation such as:

• Barrel bombs: Do's and Don't's

• Death penalty: New procedures to reduce costs

• Effective propaganda: New tricks for an old dog

• Internet: No good can come out of it
