Erdoğan: Howdy Arabia
You'd think that Erdoğan's quite recent Latin America tour satiated his appetite for foreign travels but you'd be mistaken. Here he is these days in Saudi Arabia for a state visit in Riyadh after a pilgrimage to the holy sites of Mecca (where for all we know he got inspired to build a replica of Masjid al-Haram in Turkey, double the size). Considering that his has alienated quite a few world leaders he met with his brazen, no-hold-bars outspokenness (the most recent one being Mexico's president Pena Nieto) one wonders if it is wise to keep organizing such meetings. On the other hand, he's doing a pretty good job at pissing off other leaders from a distance as well.
