Erdoğan: Spreading the word

Subtle as ever, Turkish president-extraordinaire Erdogan, has admitted that he personally inspired Obama to initiate his now famous healthcare reform. When you have such a successful public healthcare model as Turkey, per Erdogan's thinking, it's not only polite but also imperative to share this labor of your personal genius with other leaders to spread the good word so to speak. Especially, as in this case with Obama, when tourists come up to you and beg you to do so.

Such confessions are usually kept for one's autobiography, but Erdogan is known for his no-holds-barred mouthful spontaneity so there's no surprise that this came out sooner. On this occasion then let's have a sneak preview of some other noteworthy leaders and issues leaders his counseling has made a difference over the years:

>> GW Bush on his tax cuts

>> Queen Elisabeth on Palace refurbishments

>> Vladimir Putin on media

>> Bill Clinton on his impeachment

>> Tony Blair on the Northern Ireland peace process

>> Helmut Kohl on Germany's reunification

>> Ronald Reagan on ending the Cold War

>> Martin Luther King Jr. on his "I had a dream" speech

>> JFK &  Nikita Khrushchev on the Cuban missile crisis

>> Charles De Gaulle on the founding of the 5th Republic

>> FDR on the New Deal

>> Thomas Jefferson et al. on the Declaration of Independence

>> God/Moses on the 10 Commandments
